. It happened again after that and again... and on investigation it was my Tascam us-122 drivers fucking up.. so i ditched that and no more blue screens.One gig I did in Vancouver the laptop started inserting random skips about 40 mintes into the set... real anoying.. had to mxi out of it and finish with a dj set (guilty)...
I've also had my fair share of stops when its not my fault.. like power... systems blowing (im always in the green!) etc. I've played a lot of gigs now and most of them go ok but always have something ready to backup with. even if its just a CD.
I always have some kind of fun thing for the crowd to do planned.
In fact one of the fuck ups happened a few months back and I caught it all on video, from three angles, as well as what I did to resolve the situation.

but yeh, just be prepared because it will happen but i mean don't worry bout it.. just have a back up... something nice and ambient or downbeat while you reboot. and if the whole system goes down most people know its not your fault because lights go off too (Sometimes).
