b0unce,

the moog glocken 1.exs file is indeed broken. It does not comply
to the EXS standard and is inconsistent. Logics EXS24 ommits the
first part with the C-2 note if you load this instrument, so its a little
more tolerant but confirms the inconsistency.

Can you tell me how this file is made?

Ralf

A] a blank patch, no keymappings or velocity mappings at all
B] it reads the wav names wrong, it gives you something looking like user_yourname_documents_samples_presetname_aif and then maps these incorrectly titled soundfiles to the wrong keys - moving them up about 4 notes

which is even stranger because the instruments I'm using are WAVS not even AIFS

anyways, I downloaded the beta of 6.0.2 to see if it was fixed, and I get result [A], prior to the beta I was getting result - either way its broken...
if you import an instrument which starts on the note right above C-2 (C#-2), it works...

any chance this can be fixed in time for 6.0.2 ?

(edit: NO! its still not fixed in 6.0.3 ! ahhhhhhhhhhhhh)

i get this too
but i found that it still put a folder in the imports section of the sampler
and just had to import it again from there

weird

Dave (the drummer),
could you please be a little more specific? You get what exactly too?
What's the name of the folder you create? Which sampler, the ableton Live's? To import what from there, the exs file? It is extremely unlikely, that the position of the file makes a difference, but who knows....
I mean, the exs file of b0unce is definitely broken,
do you think yours are too? Where are they from?

Thanks for looking at it!

Hi Ralf
well after finding out the instrument file was the problem (thank you!), I found out autosampler 1.5.6 was at fault, and they are working on a fix which should be ready in a day or two...apparently its relatively simple to fix...

damn shame it took this long to clear up...I suppose I should have gone to the logic user board for user-feedback on the exs instruments...
