And there is any problem for the machine if you run this app always?
Cheers
I set mine at the minimum for all three bars.... 1000RPM for base speed, 40degC for lower thresh, and 70degC for upper thresh. I find that this is good for keeping a pretty cool system with a small amount of background noise. Under these settings, my mbp is idling at about 54degC per core, and will go up to 86degC during sustained, 100% CPU loads. However, before I installed this app, I could get it up to 94degC if I really pushed it. :)

I've found that putting the lower threshhold to 60degC (with the same settings for base speed and upper threshhold) also really cuts down on fan noise, and the heat isn't really that bad

Also, for those of you that are curious, at 100degC your machine will automatically shutdown as a safety measure. Normal operating temperature should be in the 60-80degC range, but the Core Duo 2 chips supposedly run about 10degC cooler on average.

My machine coreduo 2.0Ghz at 1000rpm 74°C.I think is ok..And if i set the speed at 2000 or more is geting cooler 64°C or 58°C it depence of the speed.

This app is realy cool thank you Mr sqook
