Thnx for replying Christian. I hope I understand you correctly: if I rename a file thru the search function in Live, the name will be: e-snare.aiff.wav, the actual suffix is not changed.
Clearly, this bug showed up with the introduction of Live 6.03. Is there anyway to cure it ? I appreciate workarounds, but in my opinion, this is
is a very strange bug that needs to be solved.
Could you please explain in simple terms what causes it ?
Thanks

Hi Christian,
Thanks for the tip. I only had this problem with E-Kick 7.wav about two months after upgrading (the only thing that changed was that i just authorized pluggo prior to the issue) and renaming the file to E-Kick 7.aif solved it for me.
Thanks a lot.

OK, so i was getting really pissed off at this unable to read file crap!

Ever since 6.0.3 up to and including 6.0.5 aswell.
There is nothing wrong with the files E-Kick 5,6 & 7.
But they would not read!!! I re-analyzed all my audio again, but these 3 files would not get analyzed!!!HUH??.......
Hmmmmmm......So i thought fuck it...its only a few small files (so far), so i just opened them with SoundForge and resaved and overwrited them.........didnt actually change anything..same wav. file, same bloody name, same location...........etc
Anyway, they now read in Live 6 again, BINGO!........fucking hooray!!!!!!!!!
Man the Abes need to fix these little issues that really frustrate people.....
ps. also got an read error on a snare file too, and did the same thing and bingo! all fixed.........
