Well, i spent some hours and created a gamepad to midi script. Some may find it usefull. Just download glovepie 0.29 and run the script:

there is an a small "help" file in the zip. read it first!

Any suggestions or ideas are welcomed. I am NOT a programmer :wink:

I think this will be a lot easier than the suggested method in the OP. JoytoKey translates controller input into keyboard strokes.
