well I am confused ....

condenser mic, mixer or a DI BOX ????

please note I am on a budget and this is for home use! it doesn't need to be a top of the art studio recording but obviously I need decent quality without noticable artifacts to the untrained human ear !

if it's for home use I think the others will agree you are better off micing it

it will sound a million times better, trust me!

really, if you are into doing recordings of any kind that involve acoustic instruments a condenser mic should be one of the first things you get

likewise, if you have a guitar amp you would be much better off micing the cab rather than DIing etc

like I said before, a DI is much more about Live use - some people DI bass guitars in recordings AS WELL AS micing up the cab, but for your bouzouki I wouldnt

Yeah I totally agree with forge get a Microphone and do it that way or the other possibiltiy would be to get a pick up for your instrument. I have got this microphone http://www.dv247.com/invt/16184/ and find it works well but you will need phantom power 48V +/- 4V
