ahhhh sweet nectar.

Works great, only the default mappings for my plugs are a bit wacky, laid out not very logically. No prob though, its super easy to create your own templates, im doing that now.

one thing sucks

you get jumps switchin from plugin to ableton automap (for ex: on faders)

even if ableton is set to value scaling or pickup

this issue had already been mentioned in the past when switching template on the novation

still there

Okay I admit I'm thick, but I have yet to figure this out.

For instance....the clear and learn commands don't seem to work at all when the Ableton Automap template is loaded. However if I switch the SL to the Plug-in template template # 38 it works a treat.

I figured I would just save that as an automap file, because I cannot control lives mixer in this mode. Well, I did that and when I switch back to the Ableton template all the controls have been reset to the default SL values. Even after loading the automap file I saved.

It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help with this. Thanks!!!

yep the automap file u save only works in Plug-in mode, not in Ableton Automap mode

u basically have to flick between template 38 and 40 constantly

i wanna know if i can get rid of template 39 and have 38 and 40 closer to each other, making switching quicker

One big plus - the waves 'automapped' plugins now load the editor interface correctly first time :)

The "Enable Pot Pickup" feature in the Server settings is buggy, on Mac at least.

Switching plug-ins and using pots/sliders gives parameter jump

This sucks, stuck at work watching all of you playing with the new toy.

There's one or two niggles, but overall it's very good and very easy to use, you should find it much better than the previous automapping

You don't need to save and reload the automap file, just use the 'Set As Default' from the Novation logo button on the editor for each plugin (template #38 ) - when you then switch templates between 40 and 38, the controls work fine.

Edit: think I misunderstood, the new automapping works with #38 only

So, am I right in that you cannot control live's mixer or transport when in this template? Template 38 that is. I show "1 rewire mixer connected" on the lcd, but moving the sliders does not move the knobs inside Ableton.

If that is the case, I must say I am a little dissappointed. What good is being able to tweak the plug-in if you have no conytol over the transport controls or the mixer? Thanks again!!!
