But as there's no "hoffman2k" fretless or Peeedddrrroooo-phone I'd say that was a coincidence....Unless it was their way of calling me a Bell-end
But I totally see what you're saying - I'm in no-man's land musically these days, but I really cant blame Ableton for that, I love alot of things about Live 6, I'm just saying I know what you mean about the simplicity of Live 3 -
Live 3 actually felt like a bit of a Peak time for me - I used to rewire Reason and then record loops and tweak - the whole clip envelope thing for me was totally revolutionary - and alot of that was BECAUSE it was audio only, because it meant you were forced to work with limitations and it meant getting some really unique sounds
and since midi came in in a way it kind of got a little more conventional because I'd use midi to play external VSTs and be less likely to change them about
I stopped using Plogue after Live 4 - nuff said!
The vicious cycle with Live is that the update cycle is so frequent and ALWAYS exciting, so it means I spend alot of time just getting excited about new features and not making much music, I wouldnt change that though
One thing I will say though is they always seem to surprise - it's never what I expect (apart from the little things - but the big new features always surprise) they are never what I expected so I'm sure whatever happens here will be not what we might think, and it will be great
