From Purevolume:
"Your song MUST be smaller than 8.0MB (MegaBytes)
Your song MUST end in .MP3 (you will get an 'invalid file extension' error if it does not)."
bugger

And at what quality?
I was thinking to upload a couple of DJ mixes, but theyr each about the lenght of a cd!
as far as i know, there isn't a limit...bitrate or filesize.

From Virb
My mixes are about 100MB mp3 files......

Hello kramer! So how much can you upload at podomatic?
Edit:
"Is there any file size limit?
No! That is, your entire account has a storage limit, but any file that fits within your storage limit can be uploaded to podOmatic. That being said, podcasts are most effective when kept under about 17 minutes."
-but it doesnt say what the limits are for the entire account...
edit2: 500MB

Had to make an account to find out, just like virb and purevolume..
only its not as good looking as virb...

Well, atleast it doesnt mind to upload a 100MB mp3 file. But what a mezzy interface! Ive spent over an hour now trying to fix the mp3 file name that humblevoice MISS SPELT! Grr...
Doesnt seem to be able to delete it eighter.. Tried with two different browsers. Uploaded it again, and it miss spellt again. Now theres two miss spelt tracks that im not able to delete. Track name is "Mørk Plikt", but humble voice writes it "Mlikt".
Virb looks much better, and was customized within minutes, new colors and all. I could perhaps just link my dj mixes from my Humble Voice page at my Virb page, but so far its not possible to rewrite song tag names in humble voice, and it miss spells everytime I upload.
(edit your page/music/delete track: nothing happends. /update song info: nothing happens)
thread edit: I read the FAQ on the HV page, aparently it worked deleting a track from the audio player, using the minus sign at the end of the song tag. Still not possible to corect the song name though.

Yeah...I gotta admit...virb looks pretty nice. Podomatic is butt-fugly... but all-in-all I think it's still the best site you can upload huge files for free. You can generate a pretty large number of hits too when you register on the various podcast directories and feedburner. I have another podomatic page with my personal music and it gets 20 times the hits my myspace page ever did.

Thats some good arguments yes. Im going to build my own site someday, but for now Virb is ok. For the 74 min dj mixes ill just link to my Podomatic page.
Thanks for the tip!

On virb, you actually find out how to upload music right away, unlike myspace, which took me like forever.

I think Virb's looking very promising, there's just not a lot going on yet (I find).
At the moment, Last.fm is hard to beat.
