becoming an enemy isn't the answer, i interpreted it as the administration seeing a poor situation and taking an aggressive stance towards it, judging by the title, quick glance at the story, and overhearing recent news

HUMAN NATURE maybe...?

a very real possiblity. greed can take over a person very quickly.

my point is that those who say things like "war for oil" have not thought deeply enough about the issues. they are afraid of what they see and want a quick, easy answer. something to make them believe that if we could only get rid of person x or these 5 people (the board of exxon for example), all would be right in the world.

it's not that way. as you said - human nature. there are evil people in this world - on both sides. however those who ignore the real (and painful) truth will only harm us all in the end.

the Iraqi war is about eliminating the threat of freedom-haters and liberating an oppressed nation- and about keeping us safe. If we fight them over there, we keep terrorism out of our backyards.

IMO it takes time for a group of people to recover from being deprived of freedom for so long and then re-adjusting to it, we've all had nights like that, but if you say they have them more often, look at what caused you to have those "big" nights

"here here", I just think that it's about time for people to put up or shut up. There is NO EXCUSE for anybody in any country to be a rude douche bag......regardless of color, sex, country, etc.

it seems to me that too many people in this country fail to see the community and have a myopic view in their world, rude douche bags definitely fall under that catagory
