Same problem here, but I'm not so sure it can be entirely written off to a quantize issue.

The reason I say that is because I am noticing that for certain takes, particularly pads where I am holding the beginning note for extended periods of time, this problem will occur again upon a relaunch. First pass only, subsequent passes play fine.

For example, my first take is an 8 bar pad loop. Global Quantize set to one bar, record quantize set to pretty much anything (I've tried all settings). I hold the first chord for 3 bars, do whatever I am going to do for the next 5 bars and at the end I launch the scene again to repeat the take.

Silence for that first 3 bars. Frustration. Subsequent passes play fine. Ok, duplicate the clip, scroll down to the next scene, disarm the pad track, arm a bass track for recording, figure out what I am going to play, then launch the scene to record my bass take - silence on the pad track for those first three bars again... major frustration becuase my groove just got blown all to hell...

Subsequent passes are fine.

See what I'm trying to say? This really is a drag for live performance. I'm talking strictly midi here, not audio. it happens with all types of takes, drums, bass, leads, but it seems to be the most problematic with these pad parts I am trying to do lately.

Something to do with the note length maybe? I don't know.

I'm running Live 5.2.2.
