I use both when I play. For drumming, the padKontrol rocks. I use the Trigger Finger as a mixer of sorts where the pads just do simple on/off stuff. I didn't feel the Trigger Finger's response was reliable enough for quicker action.

thanks for the feedback everybody, this is just what I wanted to know. I'll probably pick up a padkontrol although I could see how it would be nice to have both for live performance.
