I like Paris Hiltons album - there's a really good circuit remix of her song Stars are Blind <-- plus the video's hot! You can check it out on http://www.myspace.com/parker422 <-- it's the original but good non the less
I also think T-Pain is blowing up right now
check out my myspace and that'll let you know

adonis-- we all know you only listen to paris because you have a crush on her

Grateful Dead have to be the one band that only fans understand..and all others hate them.
but they are no means good for checking your ears, as all their studio albums are garbage, only the live material maters.

yes but they are a great criteria to study the improv vibe and how to free flow. Plus jerry does have one of the best "tones" in music, not to piercingly high, or cock rockingly low.....mike holiday wrote:adonis-- we all know you only listen to paris because you have a crush on her

I recently broke with a principle of mine which I've adhered to ever since it became an opportunity: Do not pay for music downloads.
The reason? Well, first of all, there's no DRM and the price was fair and I generally didn't feel like I'd be ripped off.
Second of all? Shirley Bassey sings Pink.

I'm not sure I've ever heard a voice like this on a 70-year-old... and I'm certain I've not seen a body like it

Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

Is it time for some fisticuffs? Gwen would never steal, use, sample, or borrow other people's music. She is 10,000% original and in fact doesn't even listen to or like music.sweetjesus wrote:isnt there a recent gwen stefani son based on a fiddler from the roof song?aisling wrote:interesting call, I bet there are some great eastern european/sehpardic melodies to to absorb.chrysalis33rpm wrote:the Fiddler on the Roof soundtrack

Funny, I can tell a little of what you like in music from this selection. Mainly the good use of rhythm and space. Even Tool for being a band made up of session musicians, (read that as really talented at their instruments ), are prone to minimalist compositions as far as thick dense arrangements are concerned.sweetjesus wrote:you're absolutely right im not embarrassed but i kind of got the feeling the thread started to be a little about the things we use to calibrate our ears to what we percieve is quality work out there.Machinesworking wrote:You're cheating. How could you possibly be embarrassed by admitting to listening to Tool, Kraftwerk, Grandmaster Flash, or the Chemical Brothers? and the other three have all been produced by Quincy Jones at some point.sweetjesus wrote:bobby brown
