Stanton Uberstand looks tasty :
It folds to the size of a 12"record , and has a shelf under the laptop stand for an Audio interface.

WOW! That looks pretty sweet! I had only seen photo's of the stand with nothing on it and I didn't really get how it worked...
Too late for me now anyways - just had my stand delivered. Off to Bunnings to buy some plywood now.

That's because it's "uber"

i used this for years. It's expensive but lasted 2 years with two lengthy tours, 2 trips over seas, and many live shows. I opted for an optional wider tray for the laptop, just to buy some space. Next time i'll probably opt for the "heavy duty" version, in hopes it won't have to be replaced for a long time.
Another bonus, as long as you keep a hand on the laptop, you can sorta tip it around when you get excited! (Probably how i broke mine

)
best of luck

I'm using a one of these:
with a laptop fan cooler Velcroed to the top:
Very stable, and keeps the laptop cool.

At outdoor parties I've used upside down garbage cans & stacks of milk crates.
The milk crates are usually sitting around where the sound techs are because they took their wire & cables out of them when they set up.

That uberstand looks awesome, saves space in the setup area and looks like a steal around 60 bucks. Most stands are 200 or so.

Myself...works like a charm and its cheap if it gets lost...suprisingly sturdy as well...
