Which Mac for Ableton Live?

I just ordered my first mac mini!!

1.83GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB memory
80GB hard drive

*Ill get a dedicated audio hard drive as soon as my financial situation improves!

Very excited!

Do not underestimate the power of the mac mini, nor the power of being comfortable in your studio.
Laptops are ergenomic nightmares. I love my macbook, great for DJ'ing.. but the mini is replacing it as my project studio machine, mainly for comfort reasons, ie having a keyboard on my lap, whilst looking at a 19" LCD screen. yummy!

Anyone else here on a mini?

By the way, I disagree with sentements that it is a good idea to pay out the nose for the fastest bad-ass-est machines, such as MBPs.

Macbooks are plenty powerfull for making electronic dance music.

Not everyone needs to run 15 instances of Reaktor, Massive etc... Theres always the bounce feature in Live.

If money is tight, dont let little Jimmy starve just so you can have a fancy graphics card going to waste. Look after your family man. Buy a macbook and take little Jimmy to see the Transformers movie. You'll be a happier person for it.
