I think Serbia is just like the other countries in Eastern- Central or in Southern Europe. The standard of living is not so high, but we have really beautiful womens, and here is the best music festival in the world (voted by the Guardian). http://eng.exitfest.org/
I'm planning to move to the UK soon, because if I'd like to work in the music industry I have no future here...

Actually there are quite a few war criminals walking around as free men. Otherwise it's very nice, friendly people, lovely weather, good food and a good music scene

Serbia gave me my girlfriend and her mother's side of the family. Good people from what I can tell, here in the states.

Nope. That's Lofa from LA, I think. I screwed up when I made my handle. I go under the name Lawrenceville of (Fucking) Arabia sometimes when I do strictly solo work. I mostly do artier stuff now under my real name, (K.) Ian Brill, with and without collaborators.

I seriously think I should change my handle. What's your $.02?

i think its not that big a deal. when releasing you wanna make sure the disparity is resolved. i recently had to change my artist name due to conflicts with other bands (in AU and USA) and im happy i have made the transition now.

but i dont think it would be a big deal if i changed sweetjesus on the forum.. probably do stuff like change your sig to 'not from fucking LA'

Not Serbia, but I played/visited Zagreb in Croatia for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was a revelation, I had many of my pre-conceptions shattered - it made me realise just how illusory an image of a place can be. Boy did I feel like an ignorant foreigner!!

Main impression: Zagreb is FAR more like the rest of European cities, than unlike. I was stupidly expecting to see the streets filled with snub-nosed 1960's cars and trucks etc... Instead, Zagreb is an exciting mix of historic Europe plus ultra-modern Europe, with a taste of 20th century Eastern-Bloc architecture/history.

The gig was at a club called Aquarius, next to a lake just outside of the city center. We were on on a Wednesday night, big PA system and stage, the room filled with about 400 people, almost all of which I'm sure had never heard us/of us before, and by the end of the night they were screaming and fully going off. It was absolutely one of the highlights of the tour. Really looking forward to going back next year!!

my girlfriend is from Serbia, I have been there quite a few times now.
Mainly to Novi Sad where they hold the Exit festival and also Belgrade the capital

I had a few gigs down there and made a few friends there now
It is an amazing country with really cool people. The music scene is very healthy, lots of DJs and producers and talented folks.

The women are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen and a pint of good lager is only 60pence!

I really like the place - well worth a visit

Belgrade is one of the best cities ive ever been to. amazing. women are the best ive seen in europe by far.

went to exit fest this year. i can only recommend it if you like being surrounded by rich upper class english private school toffs
