The growly bass on "Desert Storm" was an x-mod patch I havent managed to recreate since.
The bass on "Empty" was done with the sub osc routed into and overloading the filter ... tasty!
your stuff sounds really awesome man. I'm digging that bass on empty.
question though. I understand the 202 has 2 sequencer channels one which you can route to external gear. so wouldn't it be possible to use the cv out of the 202 routed back into one of the mods so you could control it internally?
I dont know, I never really got to grips with the internal sequencer to be honest!! One of those things, whenever I try and work it out I end up giving up and using my midi-cv converter and ableton instead! I'd love to get an analogue sequencer soon.
cheers for the feedback btw!

the internal sequencer is pretty easy to use
edit mode hit the keys you want in sequence until your done
press MEAS back to get to the start of your sequence
press edit again
enter the step length with the first 9 white keys , enter the gate length with the first 5 black keys press enter
then work your way through each note in the sequence
when you are done put it in play mode
shift and press cycle
then press play

but to sync it with live I'll need a midi sync 24 or whatever thats called right? or a 707? ( which I won't be buying cause I want live to be the master)

The internal sequencer for me is the best aspect of the whole machine. it really is worth getting to grips with. You can here it in use on tracks lie orbitals belfast . String lots of slides and accents together in random fashions etc etc try to be obscure or totally random with it and it likes to through you out suprises just like the internal 303 sequencer

depends on how you work
if you are controlling the mc202 from live using midi/cv you do not need one
if you are creating sequences on the 202 then you do
there are a lot of din sync devices
i got the 707 becuase it came with a free drum machine

novation drum station would another good addition
the bitsream 3x also has din sync out
if you want the bee's knees then the KMS 30 and the innerclock mk2 are both very good.

Try this for dumping midi sequences into your 202:

i have the mc202 hack too
that might be another way , have a channel in live with all your patterns in tape format, output to tape in a load them whilse something else is running

that sounds like a great idea.
