This seems to be such a small but hugely useful addition. Surely we don't have to wait for Live 8 for this?

I've only just started getting acquainted with Sampler after upgrading to the Live 7 Suite... I honestly couldn't believe my eyes when sample start/end wasn't available for MIDI mapping. Would love to see this happen ASAP!

This is the main reason I will NOT go for the bundle (the other reason being that I couldn't care less for the new synths - except for Operator) and get the upgrade only. I am truly shocked that this is missing in the sampler. For some time I have been looking for an instrument that works similar to STEIM's LiSa (but on a PC) and I'd thought Sampler could be it, with its LFOs, morphing filters. But without control of sample start/end, it's useless for live performance.
Does anyone know of a standalone or VST that has at least some of LiSa's features? (
