Ultrabeat is an excellent drum synth. The sound quality is excellent, the envelopes are very precise, and there multuple lanes in the new version similar to Guru's. You can now also change the parameters of each step.

I have Microtonic as well but it simply doesn't sound as good as Ultrabeat.

I used to love CM 505 before i went mactel.

thanks so much for the advice, I checked it out and it makes an amazing companion to microtonic. Inspired a new song actually.
