Lou Reed is a rare thing in musical terms if you ask me - a creative genius

I only Transformer though. Love that album.

+1 Transformer is cool, metal machine music is nothing like it though.

The thing is, he wanted out of his record deal, the record company said no, you owe us one more album, so he presented them with an album of dischordant distortion screams with very little musicality *but good for scaring away birds and small children* deliberately to piss them off. :D

It went unreleased for some time but kind of has a cult following among masochists and anyone who had their ears surgically removed with a blunt knife...

and Lou Reed got out of his deal because there was no way they were going to spend any money marketing it.

Didnt bands like Autecre, Skinny Puppy and NiN love that album though, and it ended up sparking part of the industrial movement? That was what I was lead to beleive anyway. :)

Damn I must learn to read, it actiually says that on the wiki page.

18 Days. I was recording the sound UHT milk makes while it goes off when you leave it on a radiator.

I wonder if you could ever create time-lapse style recordings, as I'm sure the yeast would move too slowly. :)
