I have been reading similar statements around the web too. Pretty amazing actually if its true. I would be damn curious to know how he provokes such raunchy analog sounding bass from software only. Apparently the guy who does his mastering nothing short of genius. Not to detour from Eric's skills at all... but there is a lot to be said for mastering also.

i doubt eric relies on mastering to get his sound that big. i expect he gets it sounding good as he makes the track as most people do nowadays.

i also have it on very good authority that eric uses reason rather a lot too...

No one said he RELIES on it... but I bet it makes a huge difference in his mix. Why else would he pay one of the best mastering engineers in the world to do his work?

Not in those good old Underground Resistance days. Heard from an interview with their mastering engineer that most of his tasks were more or less rescue operations, not cutting optimisations, hehe ... thats underground for sure

No reason my friend. I heard it from Eric's mouth. He only uses Logic. That program is crazy.

He played there and then I talked to him for a few minutes after. Prydz is a really down to earth guy. He just said that he uses Logic and plugins, no hard synths. He was playing some amazing remixes he had just finished too. His build ups and basslines are freaking unreal in a club.
