Eventually this will be a VSTi but for now it's just a standalone to aid in development...

There are a lot of features that still need to be implemented and even more that still need to be completely defined so hopefully some of you can help there. If you have any suggestions or bugs please report them in the forum.
I like the look of this very much, however, I don't particularly like the I-phone. Are there any plans on porting it over to windows mobile? I would be more than happy to beta test it for you if you do.

As for extra features, how about recordable automation (I don't know how well you've implemented automation in this version) and a sample oscillator?

Also, will it be multi timbral? or have multiple units syncable via wifi/bluetooth?

Good stuff all the same.

Maybe you could try the VST version? Automation in the scene is pretty complete in this version, but I'm working on a general table oscillator that will let you either draw in curves or load them in from wave data. This will let you make any kind of envelope or oscillator.

As far as the Windows mobile stuff, I'm not sure... Jasuto is pretty heavy on the CPU/FPU and the iPhone really delivers in this area, it's also completely multi-touch.

If there are some Windows mobile phones that can compete with that let me know, I'll look into it.

THIS IS FREAKIN INSANE! :D

I really hope us early iPhone users are kept in the loop as the app gets more advanced, more refined and more expensive.

This app is my obsession for this Easter weekend.

PS- Enjoying the plugin version too. Working great here with Live 8 on Leopard.

Glad you like it man, I'm considering making a mailing-list, what do you think?

I don't know much about mailing lists. I guess it could do no harm, if it's only monthly for example.
A little community with video tutorials and tips could be cool too.

I think the concept of having something free for your mac, but premium on the iPhone is an absolute winner.

I have a HTC touch pro, http://www.htc.com/www/product/touchpro/overview.html which easily outperforms the iphone and as far as i know has a multi touch screen so would handle your application perfectly well.

there are a lot of apps written for windows mobile however, i have yet to find a really good synth such as yours.

Would be good if you did port it over, I understand it would be a hell of a lot of work but it's a big market with windows mobile phones outselling iphones by quite a margin.

Also, just tried using the vst plug in version on my windows vista laptop and it's crashing live as soon as i try loadin it.

with live 8 beta live disappears immediately and with live 7 it hangs immediately.

i've never had this with live 7 before so i take it this is more to do with your plug in.

Jarvisimon: it seems that HTC supports OpenGL ES so I bet it wouldn't be that difficult of a port. I would just need an HTC device, so if you are willing to donate one let me know :P Also can you email me your system configuration and Live settings like buffer size, driver type, etc. I actually developed the Win32 version of the VST completely in Parallels on my Macbook pro but I guess it's time to create a Bootcamp partition :S

Uh oh how I wish I could try it anyway.
Unfortunately it's not even possible to install it, as the appstore doesn't allow it if first gen iPod is not checked. First gen iPhone users seem to be allowed to install it. Afaik the first gen iPhone has the same specs as the first gen iPod, doesn't it?

Any chance for me?

Ok I've switched it to allow 1st gen iPhones and iPods, it takes forever for anything to update in iTunes so just wait for it to show up. Please let me know how it runs on the 1st gen hardware, if the performance is terrible people will start complaining and I'll have to change it back but it's worth a shot...

Unfortunately i don't think i could spare the money for a htc phone for you though i'm sure you could find someone locally who would at least lend you theirs.

there's a site called xda developers who have free development kits, have a look and check out their developer forums for more info.

computer specs are as follows: windows vista on a centrino duo 1.7 ghz cpu with 2 gb of ram.

it crashes on all drivers (asio4all, mme/direct x/and my behringer uma25s) with buffer settings of 512 samples or lower. I don't want to raise them any higher than that otherwise the latency renders it unuseable.

if you need any other info, send me a pvt message.

the mac vst is crashing live when I drag it to a track, the vst is V2.4 so I cannot wrap it for use in digital performer. it seems like it would be cool but I cant get it open and running in either Live 6.0.10, or in digital performer 6.02.

thank you very much for sharing this, but I cant really give any feedback you know, keep me posted.

will there be an AU version? I really want to try this.

Is this a PPC or Intel mac? I don't have access to a PPC and it seems to have some issues...
