no really, let th em have their beta testing for as long as they want too, id rather have a finished product upon release instead of a product packed full with bugs.

but hell, public beta dammit.

there should be no beta, no alpha, just a perfect 7.0 that does not need updating until 8.0 is released, and works flawlessly on all systems. and it should have been released in July and been free.

Fuck Sonar and everything else!

Live 6 is good enough, for me there is no need for 7.
And when 7 comes out, i'll get 7. whether it be tomorrow
or in 2020.

There is no best app, there is only you who can get the best out of it.

+1. do yall realize that you have exponentially more music making/recording technology in your 5lb laptop than the Beatles had in abbey road? it's in the motion of the ocean not the size of the boat. haHA!

sonar is horrible. im using at the moment. interface is fiddly beyond belief, i prefer cubase or logic. but seriously nothing compares to ableton when it comes to efficiency, ease of use. for recording i would say sonar/cubase r deeper programs. but i hate how horrible the interface is in sonar. plus ableton is so much easier to b creative with its efficient workflow. nothing like it. plus dj'ing on it is amazing. ableton for me is the most important piece of music software ive come across, everyone is using in live sets, its amazing for production, why even consider changing?

how does logic's new interface compare to live in terms of fun? is it as much fun/easy to cut and paste and chop shit up? i remember working with logic 7 and it was like piloting the fucking space shuttle.

i havnt used the new logic yet, i learn to sequence on the pc logic 5.5, and i thought that was brilliant. i always liked logic, i imagine the new one is everything it should b (hav glanced at the reviews). i always found logic to b more user friendly in terms of interface to cubase, and is def better than sonar. sound sounds excellent. i think logic is good for chopping samples and wat not, but with ableton 7 now having a slicer, playing with chopped samples is even more straight forward. live for me just does everything i could want in a single application. i would hav no reason to use logic.
