KnotKranky - I had the SAME bike, it was my first, but without the shifter and for me it was around '76. jumping home made ramps, all that, scabbed knees and elbows were a constant. helmets weren't even a consideration, funny how times have changed.

same with that windup motorcycle, some kid on the block had one, very cool.

that's what I remember the most about that time, Evil Knievel, bikes and KISS.

I didn't have the shifter either but I wanted it sooo bad. Didn't that thing weigh a fuckin ton! Really hard to pull a wheely.

I still have a scar on my knee from splitting it open doing a jump. Plywood buckled at the critical moment. :x

Have you guys heard:

Aim - Original Stuntmaster

It's a funky little number with Evel doing an interview...

Also - on the ramp thing - I can remember getting called for as a kid, with my mate saying stuff like:

"Quick!!! Paul has built a 4 bricker!"

4 Bricker = 4 Brick high ramp.

Ahhh - jumping over your mates! What fun!

The whole snake canyon jump tv show is sheer brilliance. probably clears about a 20th of the canyon but the build up to it is sheer tv gold unfolding live.

RIP E.K.

You were a beautiful butterfly!

I still have my wind up bike and action figure! Also had the EK special edition BMX Bike!

What happened to all the real heroes?
"Let you're body feel the sound! Let it cover you up and down!"
