Suite Upgrade Pricing

Live 6 users who were eligible for a free upgrade to Live 7 are still eligible for special suite upgrades. If you have already downloaded your "free 7 upgrade" from Ableton.com and lost the suite upgrade options afterwards, you will have to contact customer support. You can still receive suite upgrade pricing. Currently the Ableton.com website is not distinguishing between new Live 7 users and upgraded Live 7 users. It is new, first-time Live 7 users that do not have the special suite upgrade offers at this time.

Yes, response times are slow right now due to the recent 7.0.1 launch (takes about 1 week for a response). This information is from support. I spoke with them yesterday (12/6/2007).

Get it back from steiny. Thought this seemed a bit odd. Nice to see they haven't completely dropped the ball on this.

Still no further towards deciding between download and box though.

That sounds good and I hope that Customer support is contacting me soon. Just a glitch in ordering process... I already wanted to call them and ask why they don't respond to my e-mail.

You go, teacher!

I get the suite (download) for 299 Euros - I think that's what it's been advertised as since day one. Sure you're not confusing currencies?

Yep, recognized my mistake and corrected my posts. You were too fast...

I had in mind that it was $299. I'll wait for the response from Customer support now as the above post above says that I am still eligible for the upgrade to Live Suite.

Just one additional question.
Like the poster I have the same options, plus the 20 Euros discount for Operator.
What I don't get is what will happen in a year time when Live 8 will be ready.
If I buy the suite now, do I'll have to follow the suite upgrade path with Live 8 or I will simply upgrade to Live 8 retaining my instrument's licences? I fear that AAS want royalties. Operator & Simpler were Ableton's blood. Tension Electric & Analog are not.
What do you think about this?

I'm thinking (maybe I'm naive) that once I pay for the instruments - the coming upgrades will include them as well. The way it has been with Operator and Sampler.
