That's brilliant.

The crazy thing is that I got to know one of the scinetists - Lars Kindermann - around 8 or 9 years ago. He programmed musinum, a really beautiful and fascinating little application that makes fractal music/midifiles. As it doesn't exist for mac I rebuilt the logarithm in pd and feed the midistream into live. The track "zebras by numbers" on my myspace has been made this way (zebrasynth triggered by my musinum pd-patch) ....

I listen to Groove Salad in the itunes streaming radio stations under ambient. I also use Radio Lover (Mac app) which records any streaming radio station and even cuts and separates each track and labels them. So I'll put on Groove Salad, hit record, and come back a couple hours later to a bunch of new ambient/chill out mp3s. Fantastic.

From there I'll research the tracks I like to see if I can purchase them or find more by the artist.

The best way to go IMO.
