oh yes forgot that one - that's probably number 4 for me anyway though

I've just added to another session/automation thread with some more thoughts on our shared number 1

I think I might be one of the only people who does not care for the drum racks. In theory they are nice, but the entire thing from the scrolling in the clip area to the mixer seems sloppy and unfinished. Way too much going on on the screen for me. I think the layout needs a lot of refinement. I'm torn because I do love the simplicity and the one screen approach of Live, but in this case it seems like fashion over function. Though, I fear I am in the minority here.

1. surround panner
2. dual monitor support
3. and unless somebody's thought of a workaround (other than routing audio out and back in via hardware): the ability to call up live tracks with the external audio plug. this would allow for the ability to inject different audio feeds per chain. oh, and that makes me think of: an actual clip playing plug, so individual clips could be inserted in racks without a track needed to route from.
3.5. lfo plug so it can be assigned to the chain selector (see number 3). just imagine the sample chop-ability.

8O :D great idea!
Modulating/morphing different quantize modes over time. Ive only herd this in one album: shpongle, by simon possford.

Heres my 3:

1) Full modular system/a flexible Session.
3) Better Arrangement View editing.
2) User-defineable key commands.

More then 3 things are importent though, so I just choose some random ones.

You are not, and I agree its way to much scrolling going on. Thats not very functional, and functional is the ableton style, right?

1) Crossfading clips on arrangement, like Vegas/Soundforge/Cubase/Logic/Samplitude/Sonar etc. Very useful feature.

2) Lanes like in Cubase and other sequencers for multiple takes and easier comping (in arrangement)

3) Toss up between better timestretching , (no more cheap Elastique Basic, go PRO like Reaper or choose another high end algorithm ) and proper dual monitor support.
http://soundcloud.com/umbriel-rising http://www.myspace.com/leedsquietmandemos Live 7.0.18 SUITE, Cubase 5.5.2], Soundforge 9, Dell XPS M1530, 2.2 Ghz C2D, 4GB, Vista Ult SP2, legit plugins a plenty, Alesis IO14.

Way too much scrolling, agreed. But I'm not sure I'd like it solved by detachable gui's. Perhaps some kind of tabbed view?

1) Live 9
2) Live 10
3) Live 11

That should fix the problem.
