I am sick of this!!! It has completely F'up my work flow!!! (I know I know I am spoiled!!!)..

I connect this via USB to my computer...(windows XP) and still got the crackles and pops.... so then last night I go and d/l the new Automap Universial which was version 4.0 or something...

Anyways.. now it won't work! I mean if I go and map everything.. it works... it doesn't automap the mixer channels (which I read someone else is having a problem)...

GUYS... THIS IS THE ONLY CONTROLLER THAT AUTOMAPS.... and specifically is marketed as such... You really need to get these things going before release!!!

I mean I have seen people say this fixes it that fixes it.. but man.. some of this stuff just confusess me.. I just want to Jam and use my controller with my software...

Ableton live 6 worked.. I mean hell it was working on 7 other than it wouldn't update the LCD's on the controller.... but now.... it isn't working properly since I upgraded the OS on the Remote..

And now I can't go back in time (which I tried with system restore... )

I AM STUCK... AND THIS REALLY BLOWS ABLETON AND NOVATION.

I didn't say Ableton Blows... I said the situation blows.. go re read... I would never say something so rude..

In response to your post.. I go back and look and see this direct music stuff.. and this MME stuff... I can't find that under preferenences ... under the midi sync tab... it doesn't exist... (On my computer at least) if you know where it is please let me know..

So I have gone and re-read.. what I read the other day.. and still it doesn't work.. and I can't get it to work...? I am still lost..

And yes the situation still BLOWS.

If anyone can help me understand what needs to be done so that my NOVATION REMOTE ZERO SL works as it did with Live 6 please let me know.

Running Windows XP... fast system... everything worked before doesn't work now. Please read my previous post about what I did to try and make it work.

Go to Live's Preferences, click on the little arrow left to the Midi Port Name, change Midi Port Type from DirectMusic to MME.

in the preferences, in the midi tab:
you've got a list of all the midi ports/devices (where there are the ON/OFF buttons for track/sync/remote). for each item, there is a fold/unfold arrow.
unfold each one concerning the remoteSL. there is another box that says "DirectMusic". click on it to make it "MME".
do it for every remoteSL midi port (both In and OUT)
it should work.

OMG!!! Vote for PEDRO!!!

It does work now..everything works now.. only I still get pops and clicks..... I assume that will be fixed with the update...

Thank you for explaining.. I didn't even know those drop down boxes existed... I have never had to use them ... because all my midi controllers have worked before!

And well I am fairly new to Live!

This beta does not work on my pc at all.

Eather it stops when starting live or it acts slow.

I am back with 7.01, to keep creating istead of crawling and creeping...

Lets see what happens next, Dandy
