I really liked the Yamaha HS80-M's but they were a bit pricey.
Has anyone had a chance to hear the HS80's? What did you think?
I thought they where VERY flabby in the low end.

Thanks guys for the help really appreciate for all the info but can I use I use the KRK Rp 5 monitor like any other speakers to watch movies n play games will they sound much better than a pair of commercial speakers like games don't sound dull coz of the flat frequency. I know this is kinda a newb question but I hope someone can clarify this with me cause I don't wanna shell out additional cash on another pair of speakers for entertainment as my work space is limited enough already. Thanks

The KRK RP5's will speak whatever you want them to speak. They speak video game, TV, and surround, you just have to plug 'em in properly to do so.
Now you are getting a flat signal from the speakers, which is supposed to be a true picture of your audio. There should be no attenuating or accentuating of any frequencies by the speakers.
I have KRK RP5's, and I tend to use them to listen to tunes and to monitor. I listen to tunes on them to get used to how they sound, which help me monitor in the long run.
