I want to assign some switches to allows me to move around without touching the mouse. Up / Down / Left / Right / enter / trigger screne.
Nobby - Did you ge this working? .
Yes, i matched the same midi notes (on midi channel 1) that are required for up down left right, launch and scene launch to the same keys as the pk squared, and then copied it to all of my different scenes (i've only setup 4 different scenes s far).
then chose farmpad as a control surface and it worked straight up..

I've now not 64 scenes - assigned to different CC messages. The only bad thing is that i'm running out of spare midi channels / CC's.

I had to write down all the CCs I had to work around. Pads start turning on when you don't expect them to
My other controller is hardwired, so I can't change anything on it.

Doc - I got the sequencer running in live 6. This is brilliant for live sets.
The possiblies are endless if you use the encoder on the chain selector to select different instruments / sounds.
Sweet, I'm glad you got it working. The chain selector is fun. I have 15 impulses set up on the drum chain.
On the pK I have all the extra buttons assigned to the same channel and these control which bar is currently playing. I can start and stop these clips, or link them together via dummy clips.

The Pk enter native mode
LIVE Preference :
I set all port on Pk for Note : ON and remote ON
and the same for farmpad
I run the Stepsequencer and I can play with it , but I miss the flashing feedback light on my Pk

the only feedback you get is knowing what notes are active by lit pads
i'm always counting in my head, so I always know where I'm at in the bar.

I just wanna say a massive massive thank you for this....I got my padkontrol 2weeks ago and i spent ages messing about with mlr and the cov ops oone with no effect.
this one is everything i need it to be... using this as a template i have swapped impulse with battery and a whole host of synths instead of simpler.....the result bieng a template for live performance... which will take my set to the next level.
i can be creative, and impulsive in ways my live set was lacking... no more checking emails live total hands on control...
doc holiday i thank you so much...this excites me the same way live did at the start.
it gives me every thing that i wanted the padkontrol to be
thank you
ps how can you assign the knobs and the xy contoller?

I'm curious what you're doing here, can you elaborate?
I've posted a 64 beat sequencer which only produces 4 notes given the padkontrol using farmpad.
Scenes 1 - 4 is the first,
Scenes 5 - 8 is the 2nd,
Scenes 9 - 12, is the 3rd
Scenes 13 - 16 is the 4th note.
you can get it here.

Doc helped me fix this a couple weeks ago. i was trying to improve it by placing a velocity effect before the sequencer which would change the 1 - 127 (really just a straight line) from the midi file, to a more advanced and funky rhythm using the drive and compression on the curve. This would essentially give the rhythm serious amounts of swing depending on the curve.
I'm not really sure why this didn't work correctly. Any ideas?
Farmpad + Seq = the roxors! =)

your welcome
i'm glad your having fun with it!
the knobs and x/y assign just like everything else (the rest of the buttons except the scene switch) they do change midi channel just like the scenes do, so you're on ch 1-16 for scene 1-16.
If you wish the buttons to not change you would need to write a config file for farmpad. it's really easy, then you could customize the pK more.
@ madhattared, I'll look into this when I get some extra time. make sure the velocity plug is after the sequence engine, if it before you'll mess up the order the notes are played in.

Thats the point
I want to hear what this sounds like, obviously it is probably going to sound like ass at first, but the idea interests me.
