Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

Im spending more time than usual on the forum at the moment, due to the arrival of our first nipper (child).
How do some of the posters here manage to post so much?
Often insightful, informative and usually relevant posts im talking about.
So how do some of the more regular posters (eg homebelly, tonedeft, johnisfaster) find the time to post so much? The knowledge that they display often suggests that they are professional musicians or engineers, or at least spend a lot of time and know a lot of stuff about music/ableton/nerdery etc.
How?
Why do you care ?

maybe they are professionnal without a girlfriend
For what it worth,,
I'm an insomniac. True.
I'll often wake up, not be able to go back to sleep,, so i'll come here, make music,, or read a book.
I also like the place,, i think if it where real i would probably hang out here in person. There are also quite a few people on this board that i have met on other boards over the years and so we have a kind of understanding of how we all work in these types of environments and so the banter and the humor flows.
My job also allows me to browse and post,, just so long as i don't take the piss,,
And lastly,, places like this taught me a lot when i first started using computers to make noise,, i still use the forum as a place of reference,, and so i like to give back a little.

I'm not a professional musician or producer,, i teach cooking and kitchen management at a hospitality and business institute.
I am currently single,, and available,,
I like walks on the beach,, rainy days,, kittens and chocolate.

^

I sit in front of a computer at work ALLLLLLL day. I work on projects, check my e-mail, peruse the forum. at night I go home, hang out in the studio, there's a computer there too. I'm married, just got promoted and am pretty much your average person, I just usually have a computer around me.

worldwide forum, chances are there are people in the world that aren't like you, go figure.

I agree it's excessive but there's lots to learn.
In my life
Why do I smile
At people who I'd much rather kick in the eye?

i know i am never helpful, but i can tell you how to fuck off a lot on the forum=) i usually sit in the den with the old lady, before going into the lab, and i hate looking at too much tv, so i post here, and hang with her at the same time. not like you need a lot of smarts to look at the tube, and write bullshit. i also check the forum, while working on tunes, while listening to playback, make another worthless contribution, and tweek a bit more.

oh, if you really want to post up, i hear worthless threads will knock your count thru the roof. but what do i know, i'm a moron, a mere stain on the jacket of society. but i like it that way, just as much as i like the forum.

or quit your job, that always free's up some time...
