I think you make your perfect "default" Simpler and then use that preset for both dropping samples "on drum rack" and "on track view", as well as in the Instruments folder, all in the Defaults folder.

i understand the "On Drum Rack" part and that works. Thanks.
But what does "On Track View" relate to?
I put a preset there but its not used when I:
..drop a blank Simpler on a track
..double click a drum rack pad and, press the contained Simpler's hot Swap button and select another simpler preset.
Also, hot swapping the Simpler's sample does not change the Simpler's settings...
So what does it do?
