I can confirm the exact behavior diego describes.. takeover works 1 time only for the uc33e. Really annoying!

Here are two other threads that echo the sentiment:

I'm just too lazy to report this to support, does someone else want to?

Hi Strauzzle, thanks for the links: I tested Patch's test steps exactly and - unfortunately - can confirm the problem here too. I see that Live does remember the takeover mode correctly, just this first time after switching banks it ignores it if the first input comes from the midi control and not the mouse.

e.g. if you switch bank and then adjust the control with the mouse before adjusting the control on the UC-33e then takeover works fine.

Sorry to drag out the thread - wonder if it's the same on other multi-bank controllers...?

I concur. May the 12th will be the one year anniversary of this bug. :(

Can we call it a bug? I'm pretty sure it is. The problem is with Live - not the UC-33e. why does it only work once (a single preset change)?

Pile of poop.

I've got a similar problem with the remote SL. If I sitch out of the automap template to a standard template, move a slider, then go back to the automap template and move that slider again, the on-screen fader jumps. But only at first. Has bothered me for ages. :x

i've been reading the advanced manual.

it seems that there are possibly some work arounds for this. far from ideal, but if you were really stuck.

you can mute your output, so you can move the control and match it to where it should be, then unmute it.

you can also take a snapshot, and load it up with each preset.

im still going through it.

these are far from ideal, but i hope they help.

Another problem with UC-33

Hi, im fairly new to all this software and using a midi controller.
Ive just bought myself a UC33 and have managed to assign the faders and buttons etc, however while im mixing two songs together suddenly the controller stops communicating with ableton. The small light that should flash stops. i cant find out how to get the signal back. Ive not changed any settings or pressed anything.
Im using the controller for mixing live therefore only have them assigned to volumer effects etc.
If i close the program and then start it up again it usualy works again but its preventing any sort of mixing as it keeps on stopping.

any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers
