F'ing brilliant!!! The man is a genius!
Love the VR Orbital style glasses - imagine playing a first person shooter (mabe time crisis) without the stoopid pedal. You could actually hide behind a sofa in your lounge while the bad guys shoot at you!!!
Gaming is about to take a HUGE leap forward thanks to this guy...

yeah I think Nintendo have really lifted the bar here - the biggest point is the fact that it;s so cheap and accessible - I just bought a Wiiremote for about 40 quid and it spins me out to think it can do all that too
got myself a couple of IR transmitters, a couple of resistors, wires, battery packs and batteries from an electronics for under $5 AUD to be the sensor bar - havent even done it yet because I've been using Candles!!!!

yeah no problems
I've been ironing out some problems - on the PC it's really Glove PIE and that's a bit geekier because it uses scripting - on the Mac OSCUlator looks like the way to go - really simple interface, I've had some problems with it recognising the motion stuff and the developer Camille has been really quick in responding and helpful - I think the problem I'm having is not a common one
I'd much rather use that given the choice, but for now it's glove pie and I'll sort some kind of script out for it - Chris Vine has hooked me up with a really good starting point, so I'll post the updates as I make them
Glove PIE is a free download and if you have the script then you just load it up and run it
Of course, no doubt Machinate will come in and show us all up with a really clever max patch at some point!

now this is cool - this part of the manual for GlovePIE (I just cannot get Homer out of my head saying mmmmmm Glove Pie)
The touchpad can be read as a mouse. But if you’re the kind of person who thinks a touchpad is just a mouse, GlovePIE isn’t for you.
A touchpad can measure the absolute position of your finger, and how hard you are pushing it. It also normally comes with buttons. Mine has a LeftButton, RightButton and a DPad in the middle.
it's like we've got a pressure sensitive controller right under our noses - and how often do you hear about that? I dont think I've ever seen a post on this forum about using your touchpad as a pressure sensitive X/Y/Z controller
fuck me I think I've just ruptured something

anyone want to collaborate to make a wiimote based dance mat? like the laser keypad in the post above.
use the wii as infrared blob tracker. wear infra red lights on shoes that turn on when weight is down. then tape out a dance mat and do spacial correction with computer. hey presto! massive and cheap dance mat!
add a top down projector for visual feedback!

Combine the wiimote whiteboard with
rear projection film glass and we're onto something.

http://midimeek.blogspot.com) you'll see that I'm currently working on a multitouch version since wiimote whiteboard can already receive up to 4 infrared points. .
how good solutions! but i supose that multipoints are not handle py PC's yet?
does it on Mac?
did you ever see this?
