What might provoke a blatantly obvious answer for you could very easily produce the opposite answer for another. ...heh, you think it's lame, but I guarantee you that there are plenty of people who DO think you cannot be moral without being religious. There's about 100 million of them in the USA right now, it's called the bible-belt. look it up. So is the question lame ? ... I mean, if 100 million would answer with a YES, a strong YES, I think that makes THEM lame ..not the question. y'dig.

even on this board, the majority are all likely to be hanging out in that green quadrant, but with all the self-delusion I've witnessed in the political threads over the years I'd be surprised if there wasn't one person here who didn't think religion is key to morality.
They might not admit it tho...it's hardly vogue, they might not even see this thread. Long story short, I don't think the question is lame just because the answer is patently obvious to me or you. Perhaps this test is american-centric (probably is).... in which case it's certainly a good question IMO.


Timur thought the question about who's more important, manufacturers etc or writers/artists etc, was lame too .... but I guarantee you there are people who would give strong answers for or against that motion. Right or Wrong doesn't come into it, in today's world people do feel strongly either way. Is the question lame because Timur finds it difficult to answer ?
I would have preferred a 'neutral' option for some of the questions.....but hey, it's just an on-line quiz at the end of the day, designed to give a rough visual representation of your socio-political outlook when pushed or forced to agree or disagree on a few ideas.

most definitely, and I often agree with what you are saying, even though I may not agree with how you are saying it.

the problem is exactly that there seems to be a bias/lack of scientific approach to the whole rig of questions, and that the questions AREN't "neutral" in the way they perhaps should have been?

ya, a neutral option would have been nice...
but I think the premise of the test is that when 'push comes to shove' and you had to choose ...how would you choose ?

ireland is voting on the lisbon treaty soon, I promise you we wont have a 'neutral' option....and this shit's for real! not just some poxy personality test...


I guess not voting is kind of equal to a neutral vote, if so....those votes don't count in reality, it's just the AGREEs or DISAGREEs .... at least when it comes to referendums in my country anyway. We have a pathetic track record, we voted NO on the referendum for the nice treaty. The government was like 'wrong answer, try again' ...until they got the result they wanted, a big fat YES.
