These sort of guys undermine the constant struggle with knowledge the scientific method is. Questioning current scientific standards is what has pushed science to the limits where it is now. But discrediting scientific standards because your 'connection to the cosmos' tells me they're wrong, or 'being from the sixth dimension told me so' opens the path to factoids and truisms like 'everybody is a dot'. He should apply the same rigour and constant self doubt a good scientist has to himself. That's, in a nutshell, why this sort of guys are dangerous.

If he was a real scientist he would say aha-erlebnis instead of epiphany or revelation.
Hmm... To me this is only dangerous if you do not approach it like any other thing in life. Reason and Logic are the only things that can save us now. (not the software versions)

... of course history shows just how much reason and logic are being used by the average member of the population.

I used to think like you, Moody.

But really, it's reason and logic that have gotten us into the mess we're in. The only way out is the Decalog.

Did you know that there is a trapdoor to the Decalog in the bottom of EVERY champagne bubble bath?

I was stuck in a lot of debt, had some anxiety, and frankly there were some days that I just didn't want to get out of bed. And then I went to the Decalog seminar. It was like a breath of fresh air in a stale room, now that i'm living my life through the ten "activation principles" of the declog my life is back on track. Let me tell you something, when I met Dr. Dean "Decalog" DeKooning, he told me something I will never forget. He said, "Michael, I want you to be happy." He gave that to ME! Just one of 60 people gathered for his seminar, but he touched each of us in such an individual way, you wouldn't believe it. Look, tone, everybody who signs up for a Decalog seminar becomes a shareholder in the Decalog institute for advanced blisstology. Let's look at that word shareholder for a second. Did you ever think about what it means? Shareholder. What are we sharing? Well, we're sharing the act of holding. And what are we holding? Well, what we're REALLY holding is the Decalog. Corporations are designed to maximize finantial returns to their shareholders, but the Decalog Institute for Advanced Blisstology is designed to maximize life energy and bliss to it's shareholders. I can't begin to tell you how excited I am that I found the decalog, and I really want to share it with you too. Send me a PM to find out where the next Decalog seminar is taking place.

Hmmm, I'm not so sure about Decalog.

I've heard some unsettling things here: http://www.pakin.org/complaint?firstnam ... 5&gender=c

sounds sketchy.

If it can't, I'll forward you some emails.

I don't know shit about Reason or Logic (I use Live), nor did I watch these clips (boring!), but honestly, you guys all sound like the idiots who raged against any and all of the forward-thinking leaps in human understanding.

Prove that I'm wrong!

Tone, Dr. DeKooning knows that all of us believe that we have problems. I too once thought that I was cursed with a "below average" member. However, through priciple 7 of the decalogue, titled "the relativistic nature of the decalogue" I realised that my penis was in fact just as it should be and that ANY penis looks terrifiyingly huge to the eyes of a drugged up 9 year old chained to a water heater. As far as your home loan goes, I can't reveal too much, but i will tell you that the decalogue has the aswers to ALL of your financial issues.

you had a meal with this guy and know him as a nice person, I'll take you half seriously.

when he goes on about dimensions, he's an idiot in his understanding. simply put, x dimensions means a system has x number of variables. 1 dimensional systems exist, think of a point in space (X), there, you just made a 1 dimensional system. now make that point move (X and Y) , you just made a 2 dimensional system, now think of that point moving as you make time go forwards and backwads, 3 dimensional system (X, Y and T for time). OK, so those are just thought experiments, but his whole freaking thing is a thought experiment.

then he goes on about going from dimension to dimension and how each dimension contains the info from other dimensions. utter nonsense I learned at 17 years of age.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Initial_conditions
as you go up in dimensions you have to know the initial condition of the new variable as a reference point. plus when you go down in dimensions, you're losing variables, so information is lost.

the guy just does not know what the fuck he's talking about.

whoa. I just read the wikipedia entry on Decalog and saved $40 on my car insurance.

I think you misunderstood him because he just said everything you did. He was explaining what his teacher was teaching and he was questioning the teacher. This is presumably what lead to his expulsion from school. Unless I misunderstood either one of you which may lead to my expulsion from this thread. :P

you guys need to relax.

what's the point of watching something like this just to go on a message board and fume...

i guess it's not for you, but there's no reason to hate on the man's work. he's just a guy talking about his life and some stuff he thinks is interesting.

when i said 'change the way you look at the world' i was referring to his paper on the role of spin and torsion, and his re-envisioning of the solar system over time as a corkscrew and not a disc.

i'm hardly off to join a cult.

*shakes head

bullshit. have YOU ever done any math involving dimensional analysis? ever done calculus? are you versed in the area in any way? seriously, what grounds are you calling me out on? I'll call this joker out based on my above post, where are you coming from to call me out? it's one thing to post words, what's behind them?

utter bullshit based that any high school kid in a calculus class would scoff at.

yes there is, he's a fool spreading some really ignorant shit, taking advantage of other people as naive as he is.
his re-envisioning of the solar system over time as a corkscrew and not a disc.
no clue what you're talking about. sounds like more bullshit. the planets are HUGE masses whose orbits have been well studied for hundreds of years.
i'm hardly off to join a cult.
of course not, you're just having an open mind, taking in new ideas. you want to ask ME what I think, I'll tell you, he's a fool.
