one of my classic and almost always used racks, is a bell shaped auto effect followed by a full wet ping-pong and reverb (wet too, diffused, with a long decay). i call it paddizer :) because it instantly generates a pad from everything you throw in it. well.. mostly mid frequency stuff.
you can play with the bell cutoff to generate the desired note.
paddizer rules :P

and lately gate > redux is a great thing for a return track or a dedicated fx audio track. . .

WOW...some incredible ones so far....Im loving these. :)

Just goes to show with a little imagination and the very basic effects racks you can get awesome results

so, how hard is it to get accurate results with a smartknob + selector switch rack? are you doing dry/wet style, or just hard cuts from preset to preset?
