anamexis, just curious, are you talking about the nerdbag or the standard record bag?
can't imagine someone thinking of the nerdbag build quality, padding and strap being mediocre...

cheers,

My twopence.
I bought the blue padded bag a year ago and i'm sad to day that it had almost fallen apart and had to be repaired several times. It's not had a lot of use. I mean i use it everyday but it's not had a lot of heavy stuff in it. Just mags and sandwiches really.

yes, those are the standard record bags for 30 bucks - not bad for the price but no comparison to the nerdbags, those are really built to last...

I have the nerdbag and it works a treat, macbook, motu ultralite, apple psu, two korg nanos, FW cable and 2 x usb cables for nanos.

OK, it's a bit stretched with all that in it, but it works! :D

Not sure if its just your laptop that you plan on taking around with you.

I bought this novation gig bag to go with my xstation and my laptop goes in as well, leads and shit in the pockets.

Just looks like a rucksack rather than a 'Ive got my laptop bag with me please follow me and mug me'

novation do a range of sizes...the ruck sack pic i posted will be too small for your FCB1010 but the 49key bag would work i think

25-key: Width = 468mm; height = 68mm; depth = 278mm
49-key: Width = 798mm; height = 68mm; depth = 278mm
61-key: Width = 963mm; height = 68mm; depth = 278mm

Erm...im not employed by novation by the way but i think they should send me some free stuff now
