Eminent Domain usually fixes these areas at the expense of those who have been there for long periods.
Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

It's market driven bullshit, snowballing down hill, black urban culture subverted by fat white record execs making role models out of criminals and getting rich off of it while teenagers pull the trigger on each other yellin clack clack.

Yeah there's alot of bad music out there, but there's also alot of really good stuff in my opinion. Lil wayne lyrically is the most talented rapper around nowadays (we can agree to disagree on that) maybe ever. Most people end up classifying music as good when they can relate, and bad when they can't.....

There's nothing wrong with having an opinion

I personally like that kind of music, along with several other genres including techno, electro and my current newest fav, Baltimore Breaks (blew up the last couple hipster shows I played)

in my opinion though - perhaps you should stop taking music so seriously and just enjoy it (or not)

feel you. I'm not always so serious. Just that when I look around that neighborhood and watch and hear what everyone is listening too I can't help but say to myself "something is very wrong with this picture?"

you mean baltimore club? like "watch out for the big girl"?

That's IT!

now very well pressed vinyl records with low budget production under a continuous break beat - that's it

funny, we're nowhere near Baltimore but people out here call it Baltimore Breaks

it's actually kind of nice because those are the only vinyl records I buy now-a-days

...and of course I pay extra special attention to the gangsta rap mash-ups

Huh?? Like Rock and Roll doesn't glamorize heroin addiction, one night stands, and excessive alcoholism? As if punk, metal, and industrial never happened? Think about it for a second. Rap is just a little more to the point.

AC/DC = Tupac big time attitude wise. "I can kick your ass, take your woman, and your money, look at my ride!" It's just male fantasy crap, that's all. and I agree with Adonis on this rap, ( and IMO industrial, punk and metal ) are all OK in my world!

Now is it sad silly violent lyrics are what sells? hell yes! but what in fact can people do to change wage disparity? Who wants to give up all inheritance rights? Who wants to set a maximum wage? The answers aren't pretty.... IE almost no one wants to implement real change, the worn out couch is far too comfortable.

So, a poll: of all the commerical hip-hop producers out there, what percentage would you say are white? I honestly have no idea. I assume that many, if not most, of the major label execs are white, but in terms of producers I was under the impression many if not most were black.

And I'm talking the radio stuff, not more indie or underground. Again, a question.

not picking you out of the crowd necessarily adonis but I think you might be a good example of my point. basicly i think there is no such thing as taking music too seriously or not. imhop people should just be themselves which is where adonis comes in, i'm sure that he strikes many of us as being himself no doubt, but then there are other types of people, and smutek being one of the best examples for another angle, both of you have been generally consistent on this forum, the things that move the two of you as people arent judging by your forum post too much of the same thing. so generally speaking adonis is celebrating the same music that pains smutek on general principal. there is nothing wrong with that. some people are soilders some are farmers some are partyers and some are revolutionaries.
we all come from our own experiences that have come together to create who we are and how we see things.

so in short i think DjAdonis should keep on partying and smutek should tell those people outside his crib to turn that shit off

Can we rename this thread, "Sad State Of Nigga Shit"???

I honestly...I mean honestly have not listened to commercial radio for more than 15 minutes at a time since 2003. Okay...let's set aside XM radio...and I recently tuned into an "Obama" discussion on The Beat 100.3 in Philadelphia.

I've grown tired...and frankly just grown up...I guess I'm at the point where I don't really see and feel the need to bitch about music that doesn't interest me in the slightest. I'm not taking shots at you Smutek, but I just stopped listening to that bullshit, and simply decided it didn't have a right to exist within my aural universe.

Sure I know that Jeezy, Soulja Boy, and Plies exists, but I honestly couldn't name more than 2 songs by any of those artists. I listen to Jeezy for the beats...I even listen to Rick Ross knowing that he's gonna talk about pushing the same weight in 18 of his tracks...

And on track 19 he's gonna ask God for forgiveness for the genocide he's committed against his own community. It's just NIGGA SHIT. I don't cry about it. I just laugh at it because....

Believe me when I tell you...it is SO HARD to convince a bunch of NIGGAZ that you're giving them words of advice worth more than GOLD, but there's some rappin' ass NIGGA convincing them that a SINGLE DOLLAR speaks volumes over learning to respect yourself and earn a living without shuckin' and jivin' like a fucking coon for the masses.

But... I haven't given up just yet. I know it sounds like it...but I'm not entirely convinced that I've thrown in the towel in the battle against NIGGA SHIT. I've got a son to raise, and I damn sure ain't letting BET convince him that the only way he can earn a living is through running with a ball, disrespecting bitches in a stripper song, or better yet...selling crack.

And for the record...why the fuck do black parents even ALLOW their children to watch BET? That's just fucked up parenting...fucked up BLACK PARENTING to be exact. I'll say this again and again. If you want the NIGGA SHIT in rap music to go away...it starts with the black community. Whether it's FUBU, G-UNIT, excessive TOMMY HILFIGER/NAUTICA GEAR....once we stop supporting unnecessary shit with our dollars and move on to the next trend/phase/style...

White people will follow right along. When that happens...the bullshit stops. Not trying to be racist, but I've noticed this trend within a young urban audience. We start...they start. We stop...they stop. I'm not saying the REAL PROBLEM will go away(inner city crime, murders, bitches sellin' ass, bitchass niggas making money off exploiting their own people)...

I'm just saying we wouldn't have to put up with Plies and Jeezy if niggas did away with the NIGGA COMMENTARY and found other shit to talk about. I'd love to see a resurgence of REAL HIP HOP that focused on police brutality and funny little issues like presidential candidates who argue that "race" isn't an issue, and then say....

"I made a prediction that I would win Pennsylvania, and he would win North Carolina. I also said the deal breaker would be Indiana."

Lol! Like the fucking demographics didn't easily predict who would win what based on skin color.

I'm just saying...maybe someday we'll get that kind of hip hop back.

That's kind of silly. People arent killing each other because they heard a rap song about it, they're doing it because they are desperate and there are few avenues for financial gain that aren't criminal available to them.

.lm.

Some are. But you've got to admit that the kids 11,12,13 years old listening to kill, shoot, blast your ass mutha fuka are being influenced by this crap 24/7. It's glamorized with millions behind it and the youth eat it up I mean c'mon. Billion dollar corporations pushing this crap on television vs a single mom working at denny's with three kids to feed? who do you thinks going to win the battle of integrity? The mother? no. And there are plenty of poor people in america that aren't killing each other every day because of their financial situation.
