Add:

The ability to choose what I see in Live, such as:

1. seeing the waveform of a clip playing AND the effects in a return channel at the same time.
2. seeing more than one clip at a time in Session view.
3. seeing more than one channel's effects at a time in Session View.
4. dual-monitor support.
5. etc.

These kinds of features have been requested since day 1!

...gonna squeeze in OSC here. why not integrate a better system than MIDI, rather than improving MIDI. well, of course MIDI is the standard today, but put OSC on the table and change the standard... 25 years of MIDI monarchy are enough, it's just not good enough anymore for todays technology.
Yup...

Multiple waveforms for DJs.

Better Browser with more colour and contrast.

More keyboard shortcuts - Make Live less mouse-reliant

Dont neglect people who payed for Sampler, Operator etc. - Continue making improvements to Operator etc.

I decided to repost it here. So,
add Maximize clip view Button & Shortcut, please! :) :

Image

- it takes too much time to drag when needed to maximize

And after that, it would be great, that free space would automaticle tranformed to working space after maximize button is pressed.
now this looks this way:

It would be great if looked this way:

Thank You, Ableton in advance! :)

And:
+ Double-Click to reset controll to default position.

+ ability to view clip content when parameter is "Unlinked" - it's hard to draw curves without seeing clip's content!!! Just press "linked" to "unlinked and view dissapears!!! OMG, what a confusion ! And finaly - how to control it in LIVE situations?! 8O

+ Plugin favorites. I f you have big list of plugins it takes a long time to browse them. Search is great, but it takes time and sometimes it's hard to remember exact name of plugin. And usualy everyone uses a fiew plugins constantly. So classifable favorites (ability to make folders) would be great time saver.

+ Hot-Swap is amazing, but also would be grat to have preset switching buttons "FW" "FF" - it would be easier to get preset next in turn - great when searching timbre by sound and ears, not by it's name - than you don't have to move mouse aroud all list of presets and can concentrate in hearing sound. Even keyboard shortcuts here would be nice :

Great idea on the FW and FF buttons to add to the hotswap functionality.

Those are all very useful suggestions, along with maximizing the used space mentioned in your previous post.

hello !

i would like to have offline effects's option to print directly fx's automations in audio ...

another thing that would be great : a groove quantize fx like fruity loops,or yamaha qy 700 sequencer: the possibility to create grooves templates and to apply them non destructively like a mask in midi..

and to finish, possibility to have two screens in one ! to avoid switching all the time..

tschuss !

Fully integrated multichannel support for 5.1 and octophonics (and anything inbetween).

Grouping audio tracks inside a rack-like object. Not sure how this would work but basically some way to group tracks into an expandable single fader.

Unlimited return channels!!!!!! 12 max?!?!?

MIDI. LFO. PLUGIN. The possibilities of this alone would make the update worth it.

Being able to drag tracks into your live set from the browser and have them retain their midi controller mappings!

I use Live in a band and as our set list grows ever longer, my liveset is getting really cluttered and its getting to the point where I dont know whats going on. If I could delete a track from the live set once the song was over and drag the next one in and preserve the controls it would be pretty sweet.

The ability to do this with return tracks too would be awesome. I quite often use similar return track set-ups for things like drums and reverbs etc but you cant drag them in from other projects. (I know I can build racks but it would be nice to have this option too).

I'm glad to see it's not just me and Poster who spend too much time mocking up Live features in Photoshop.

I like your list BTW - but this thread has turned into a 'wishlist forum' in one thread.
