liveISlife wrote:10.5.3 and Live 7.0.7 have been working perfect over here. I'm very happy with both. I was having some problems with 10.5.2 and previous versions of live. I then down graded to 10.4.11 and came back when the 10.5.3 update came out and I'm loving it. The only thing about leopard is make sure u got at least 1 GB (2GB+ if u can) of ram and I noticed it takes up more virtual memory(about 30 GB for me on average, thats on a 2.4 Hz mpb w/4 GB ram) but I don't think the machine affects how much virtual memory is used. I put leopard on my moms 1gz imac and it used the same amount. Yeah but shit be smooth like butter. And runs sick nasty on intel macs. ull be like ------> =O =D =]

This is good news ... I was contemplating putting 10.5.3 on my Mac Book Pro 2.4Ghz 2Gb last night and thought I should check here first. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Cheers!

Can anyone confirm if Live crashing when tab is pressed, as described below, is an issue of 10.5.2 which is fixed in 10.5.3?
(Live 7.0.7, MBP)

-Hit play
-jump to just past the track's end by clicking in arrangement view's scrub area
-hit tab (or click on session view selector)

Other keyboard shortcuts / clicks don't cause a crash in the same situation.

So it is recommended that I update my system before updating...

1. How do i do that? (recommend a backup utility?)
2. Will I need to re-install my software after updating?
