October, apparently. At least in Japan.

the only one i ever see myself buying is the nanoKontrol..
if i happen to have the money lying around and i have really nothing else to do with it,
and im feeling generous to myself..

Nanopad looks great, i got 2 padkontrols but i'm still buying one. I'll probably get nanokontrol too and if nanokey is fun i'll get it too. I like Korgs Controllers.

fuck, these look great!

Even that stupid NanoControl, since it has 18 lit buttons...

Reasons for padKontrol? Well, to begin with these only have 12 pads, not 16.

i think the nano keys is a waste..

considering most DAWs have a keyboard on the actually computer keyboard,
your only just robbing a usb socket for the same features.

IMHO, i know that a computer keyboard doesnt paly the same, but still i would not buy it

Bagle, what on earth are you talking about? Do you happen to have a velocity sensitive computer keyboard?

Why can't we get some BEEFY strong quality stuff?
My feelings exactly. I was looking into getting a Kenton Killamix mini, which looks beefier than the Nanokontrol. I wonder how they compare . . .

more options for people, to each their own. they seem like a nice option for something to throw into the laptop bag. X/Y pads are useless in Live, I know the Novation SL's X/Y pad crashes Live very easily.

are the USB powered? Korg doesn't have them on their site.

they don't, really.

Killamix Mini: Milled from aluminium.
Korg thing: ... Not.

Korg thing has faders, "normal" knobs from the looks of it
Killamix: Encoders and no faders.

Korg Thing: 18 buttons plus transport section
Killamix has 9 buttons and a joystick.

...etc. etc. Oh, and the killamix mini is 290 euro...!

Exactly! Or a modular sort of solution for controllerists looking to build big rigs... ahem, ME!

That's an SL problem more than anything. I've never had a crash related to the PadKontrol which has that very same x/y pad.

they're most certainly usb powered. And for some reason some companies prefer to send out press releases about which you'll find scarce or no info on their websites. Korg is one of them... weird. Besides, they won't be out until october, so things will most likely change around a bit.

if nanokeys had a midi out it would be perfect for use with a monomachine
nano keys to midi channel, midi channel to monomachine. no?

velocity sensativity. black and white keys for people who like don't like getting lost on the qwerty keyboard.

and cc mode.

I'd be totally into the nano key, but it looks like it'll be $99 us dollars. I'm thinking more like $49 or maybe $59. Not sure I'm down with $99.

although the cc mode is pretty cool, but I could use a little keyboard like that designated for lucifer and artillery
