Yes, there is wasted space in Live which I would like to see utilized.

More for Clip View:
Ability to to expand the Clip area by dragging the separator between the Clip & Launch areas. I want to be able to see the full names of my clips in this view.

Another general example: I want to be able to hide or collapse the Master Channel.

-1 on redesigning Live's look. It's way better looking that Logic, ProTools.

Yes, I also want the smileys showed in jpgs to be included in Live 8!!!!

But seriously:

+1 for utilizing the wasted space (maximizing clip view, etc).

+1 for Hyper-Draw-kind-of-functionality to Arrangement-view, so it would be possible to draw clip envelopes in Arrangement view.

+1 for adding a bit more color to the clip data itself, currently it's only at the top bar of each clip. Now it's a bit difficult to separate a track from other sometimes. It would make Live a bit more readable.

+-0 for redisigning the looks... I think it looks very "efficient" at the moment, just make it better by adjusting little things instead. Like coloring certain things, utilizing space, etc...

In earlier versions of Live (Live 4 for example), the clip waveform colour used to match the colour-coding you gave the clips -made it real clear which clip you were looking at or working on.
