I wanna have the OSC implementation deeper than just like MIDI mappings. All parameters should be accessible as well as notes, track properties....

I hope the c74 partnership goes into that direction. Full control.

maybe im alone here, but i was excited about OSC,
then i actually read the spec...

its a lexical, text based protocol..

I like OSC because of the text interface. you could have access to everything that exists in the host without any abstraction BS, for example:
"\live\trackname\effectname\parametername value"
could do exactly what it looks like, which to me is a huge plus. dynamic control could be easily attained with a few simple string manipulations. really powerful, ime.

Plus the chips in these external devices are fast, i mean the iPhone was a screaming fast G4 in 2000.
