I always liked Carlin's rant about idiots who use credit cards for inexpensive purchases like tic tacs or newspapers!

Whenever I buy something under $5 I always look behind me to see if George is standing there shaking his head thinking "What an asshole"...

I guess I can kiss that quirk goodbye...

This is sad. He was truly one of the greats.

More young comedians than people would like to admit should bend over and kiss his dead ass for paving the way for their careers...

I'll know whether I want to go to heaven or hell when I croak depending on which place welcomes him...

He was another creative person along with a few others that for me, was proof that talent can sometimes mature with age. Personally I thought he got funnier the older he got. When I was a kid, I thought his stuff was merely OK, but the routines I've listened to him perform for the last ten or fifteen years were pure genius.
Too bad there won't be any more, but the inspiration he provided other comedians will still have impact.
