There is a warping mode called re pitch... Would not this work?

re pitch just works on the sound and has no influence on the speed of the music whatsoever.

I posted this thread almost 4 years ago.
Wonder if ableton 9 will bring any change for this problem.
Looking at the presentation video, I'm guessing it won't.
In fact, it looks like ableton gave up on DJ's completely.
No different BPM, no multiple loops, no browser with cover preview, etc...
It doesn't matter for me anymore, I stopped dj-ing.
But I still think it's a shame. Dj's will now keep using software that mimics turntables.
I love turntables and vinyl, and will keep using them. But I think it's idiotic to make a digital version of them, while there's so much more possible.
