i think what bothers me about this kind of thing is that its like sampling but with no balls and no pride.
take daft punk, i cant stand their music, but at least they put their name to music they stole and did something with (however minimal that might be)
so...i suppose this is just dj'ing rather than creating music, and in that case the selection of music is the only deciding factor in how good it is (in my opinion etc..etc..)

Mashups are only gay because most of them suck.
When they're good they usually aren'y gay, thought sometimes they are good AND gay...
Also, the fad may play out (or is already) but the shit has been around a lot longer than they've been called mashups
I did the first one I can remember back in 1984, Time After Time over Egypt, Egypt. I'm sure I wasn't the first.

I love mashups. Almost as much as I like making them, but not as much as I like dancing to them.
That being said, if you want to find a beautiful lady with a sense of humor, I highly recommend going to one of his shows. Out of control, good times. Of course online sausage parties are pretty slick as well, I suppose.
I've seen this guy perform locally for about 6 years now and I can't say I've seen anyone as fun, or gifted with a crowd. Hell, he's even spoken in front of congress in defense of the free use of samples.

i think he's alright.... Absolutely gets the ladies dancing and he is a great performer. But really , who wants to have fun at club/DJ night? I'd rather stoke me chin, preparing for my lonesome stroke of my cock later, critique every mix he or she does and claim i can do it better...

Not a fan of mashups really...guess I would probably have to like pop music. But Gregg is a nice guy and I congratulate him on all his success. Good to see a local act make it.
