I'm lucky that everything I have is almost all PC/Mac. Even my DAWS Live/Cubase and Reason are all cross platform compatible.

The synths you mention are great and maybe don't have a Mac version yet, but there are other synths out there that can do a good approximation. I mean, Sytrus is an FM synth, Operator or FM8 could both deliver a good alternative esp. if you know how to program an FM synth (not easy). Kjaerhus's plugins are good but alternatives exist both to their freeware and paid plugs.

Although having to spend more money is obviously a deterrent and I understand how frustrating (and costly) that could be if it extends to lots of plugins.

Changing platforms is easier for some than others and people often forget about plugins.

lemme play devil's advocate for a moment:

Would _reducing_ the amount of software available for Mac's make the platform _more_ appealing??

Seems like a double edged sword, here.... but then I'm no marketing expert.

^ yeah, cost is the biggest issue, and it's already expensive enough to go mac, and even more so to give up my beloved synths and effects (that I know how to use really well) and then ahve to pay more to replace and relearn...there are a lot of switching costs...
