Bah! I've never liked the sound of software cratching, and the limitations are plenty. Buy a turntable with a Shure cartridge, a mixer and start practicing, hehe

yes! that's exectly what I wanted to add on the wishlist!
OK, it might sound a bit more digital than vinyl, but at least you'd be able to scratch your own samples!
for example assignable to a fader or dial knob OR to mouse movement. Maybe add something special to accomodate the XY axis movement of the mouse?

OK...sooooo...is anybody actually scratching their clips the same way one would scratch using CDJ or vinyl? (yes, I know the digital doesn't sound as good as vinyl, but what can you do)
I bring a Numark CDX to my gigs and scratch my samples by burning them to a CD first. Not the preferred way of doing things, and very limiting when it comes to spur of them moment ideas.

Well, I was thinking I'd be able to make some scratch-like sounds from my own samples using Sampler, by using short loop windows and changing the sample start and end points with an assigned knob/fader/whatever. That is, until I discovered that you can't map a MIDI control to any of the relevant Sampler parameters!
