The girl he adopted was from Bangladesh of all places, so of course I don't think that he is personally racist...I think he's old and inept...those voting against Obama are likely racist.

I havent decided who Im going to vote against yet. they both suck pretty hard. being black is the one good point obama has going imo.

Oh, sweet. I kinda thought so, but in print, you never know.

There are some great socialist/communist political values that this country has, which lead to a more caring and supportive community.

Under our newish 'lefty' government, lets hope there will be a few more.

I can second how good my 'socialist' country makes me feel every time I go to the doctor, or the emergency ward (once per year - knock on wood) - for almost free. I earn a reasonable living, so pay $560 to my province for health care (thats it..). Seems an incredible deal for the peace of mind & ability to take care of myself with professional assistance when needed.

I've had knee surgery (f/ sports), reattached pectoralis minor (f/ weight training), tonsils out, multiple flu shots & vaccinations, stiches in hand, ear & elbow & knees (f/ brother), etc etc etc - and never payed a dime more my adult life.

so how is the welding industry in Australia? sounds like a nice place to live.
